How come they sing "Lazarus in the Bosom of Abraham"? What's up with that? Did Abraham really have a bosom?

If you can prove that Abraham had a bosom, Biblical references please. You have to prove it with references.

And if you got two, three major world religions whose founder had a bosom, what the...?

This is really freaking me out --
How come they sing "Lazarus in the Bosom of Abraham"? What's up with that? Did Abraham really have a bosom?
I think it's called a bosom whether there's a rack there or just a bunch of hair (or, yes, manboobs). It's like a lap or a**crack, everybody's got one.
Reply:well, bosom doesn't only mean a woman's breasts. bosom aslo means protective place, courtesy of encarta, so yeah.
Reply:A very old song written by a person who didn't realize that we went from the old testament to the new at the sacrifice and Resurrection of Jesus.

He remained in the old testament.

That is why he wrote the song.

Abraham's bosom was a description of the Jewish place of the dead.

Two levels, one for the just and the other for the unjust.

Now in our time Heaven and Hell.
Reply:Are you really Jimmy Swaggart?

Jimmy was really into bosoms.
Reply:Yes there is quite a long scripture where this song comes from.

Before Christ came, the saints that had died went to a place called Paradise. When Jesus was crucified, he went to paradise and brought those Godly people to heaven with him.

Scriptural References for that, is in Luke 16: 20-31

20And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

21And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

25But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Reply:He had a cracking pair of man boobs!!
