Why do country singers sing about pick-up trucks? What's the purpose behind it?

they're in love with their trucks because they think that they make them "manly", so people sing about who and what they love, so they sing about trucks.

well tractors are in the COUNTRY and they are COUNTRY singers... i guess it's just the style

Reply:What do rap artists sing about? Nelly has the exact lyrics "in my black SS with navigation". He sings about the car that he has. Most cowboys use trucks because it makes the most sense when you are on a farm, or out in the country. The reality is that most of the country singers did at some point, ride horses, work on a farm, or frequented rodeo's. trucks are necessary for that lifestyle, just like a "pimp ride" is for a rap artist. They sing about their car like all other artists do.
