Red Hot Chili Peppers -John Frusciante cant sing back up..so why does he??

I know he is an awesome guitar player but have you heard him sing back up in concert? It sounds dreadful and its so high pitched. Doesnt Anthony realise its killing the song?


Do you know any other back up singers like this?

Yes he does suck at being a back up singer I'm just remembering when he does.

    This sounds like more of a matter of taste than anything. John has a much better voice than anthony (which isn't saying much). He has much better pitch and much bette control. Though not many people like the tone of his voice (I personally like it).

    Have you listened to his solo work? That's a better showcase of his abilities as a vocalist.

    That aside, ever since Mother's Milk, john's harmony has been a major part of the chili pepper sound, and likely a significant part of why the chili peppers exploded in popularity after he joined the band...
