Where/who do I look up singing lessons near where I live?

I want to learn how to sing, and I don't know where to sing. I want the cheapest/lowest price but a decent (or better) teacher. I want it to be one on one learning. Does anybody know?! Please help!!!! I live in Blaine, MN by the way!

You won't get a decent teacher for the lowest price. However, a qualified teacher is worth every penny you'll spend and you'll be thanking your lucky stars all your life you made that decision.

I've written an article to help you select a teacher : http://www.ehow.com/how_4535012_select-c...

To find teachers to interview, it's quite simple. Ask everyone you know. Ask at school, at church, your parents' friends, standing in line at the store you can strike up a conversation with complete strangers and ask them. And ask other music teachers, such as your school band director, violin teachers, and so on. And music shops will often have a list of teachers nearby.

Don't be discouraged by the price. Many teachers have full or partial scholarships or work-study available.
