Talent show coming up....sing song from wicked....or play song on piano....i don't know what to do?

i'm a mezzo soprano, and 12 years old. i have amazing range-i can hit all the notes in all of elphaba's parts in the songs from wicked. i'm obsessed with wicked, but i am REALLY good on the piano.....and i've made a few songs that people are amazed with. should i perform my song on the piano(all instrumental) or sing one of elphaba's songs from wicked? any other ideas?

It depends on your feelings:

-If you like to be flashy then you should sing and knock everyone off there feet.

-If you are more demure than you should play the piano, because that is what people tend to associate shyness with.

-And of course if you really want to wow people then you could try both.

Just make sure you have to have everything completely memorized at least 2 weeks before the performance. Otherwise you could get nervous and space out on lines.

And because you want to do great.... drink a LOT of water. Starting several days before, bring water bottles with you everywhere. Continue to drink all of the time until after the performance; this will help you do awesome and your voice won't crack.
Reply:put them together, or maybe try to do a duet with some one or something its your choice do what you feel more comfortable with. I also enjoy the music and musical wicked. But i would have to say don't read the book :-( . do what you think is best for you. i think your kind of brave though, i can sing, but when i sang a little for my friends, i didn't really try so now they have this idea that i suck. don't let this happen to you, always do your best so that no one will build ways between you and them. AND GOOD LUCK.
Reply:why not try to put both of them together. you could play part of a song, and sing part of it...
